“ I've been coming to this place for a while now, off and on! The food is DELICIOUS, FRESH, and filling! I'm a burrito fan so I always get the carne asada burritos with EVERYTHING on it! Soooo yummy! The prices are reasonable and the family that owns the place are so sweet! Always friendly. If you're looking for a good burrito spot, this is it!!! I'm sure the other food choices are amazing too but I always end up buying their burritos! ”
“ This place is the bomb. Its a little more pricey than your average hole in the wall but you get such bomb tasting food and a lot of it. After we finished eating they even brought us some freshly cooked chicken wings and legs no charge. 10/10 ”
“ I stopped at this place every time I am driving from the Bay Area to the Fresno area. Well worth the three minute detour. Great for taqueria and butcher! ”
“ I found another good spot for tacos and authentic Mexican food in Madera. It almost seems finding a good taqueria is often within footsteps away whenever I am in town. This small carniceria (Mexican meat market) can easily go under the radar, however, unless you are looking for it. It is located at the tail-end of a strip mall next to a Rite-Aid and a Planet Fitness. A carniceria or Mexican meat market can often be the first place you should go to find some good tacos if they also have a taqueria (a Mexican restaurant that specializes in tacos and burritos) inside the market. This is because they use all the various cuts of meat they sell and it is all freshly chopped up and prepared. Although not here, some carnicerias will even make their own tortillas for the tacos. I would say most of the meats I tried were very good except for the buche (pork stomach) which I thought was a bit gamey and did not taste clean. Upon two visits, I tried carnitas (braised pork), al pastor (marinated pork), and carne asada (beef steak). They also have birria de res (slow-cooked beef), (chicharron (pork rinds), cabeza (beef head or cheeks), and tripas (tripe). They use a delicious citrus marinade for their carne asada which also gives the meat an orange hue. I thought the asada and carnitas were the two best-tasting meat choices that I tried. Although it is a tiny market and butchery, there is a dining area inside with a seating capacity of up to 20 people. As much as I enjoyed the tacos, if I made another visit here, it would be to try their soup (caldo) dishes. The caldo de res (beef) and caldo de pollo (chicken) seem to be among their specialties and I have seen a few patrons order them during both my visits. The soups looked delicious, and hearty, and smelled incredible. ”
“ Great service. The tacos here are very authentic. the lingua wasn't too wet and was just right. Will come here again. A must try ”
“ Still got it going on! The chile verde tacos are just fantastic and their salsa roja is amazing. ”
“ Ordered the Birria burrito and it was PHENOMENAL. Very nice place, family owned and operated and the food is good! I've been looking for a good burrito since the cook at my regular place passed away in 2015. After all those years I finally found it! This is the place. Get the burrito! ”
“ Super burrito without sour cream and shrimp cocktail ordered with extra hot sauce. The worker was kind and said it would be ready. I went in to get it. The restaurant is like a mini mart/ restaurant. You can pick up and go or eat there. They have all kinds of meats to choose for from for viewing and much more! Safe, clean and practiced. Spanish music playing. Greeted by a worker when I walked in and the order wasn't ready yet. Waited. It was ready shortly later and the worker handed it over after I paid for it along with good day wishes! Lunchtime! Got everything set up. My half of the chicken super burrito was really delicious! Of course even better with their hot sauce! Great tortilla too! Half of the shrimp cocktail was fresh, tasty & great too! It came with Saladitas and hot sauce and that added to the deliciousness! Mother said hers was great! Said it tasted fresh and loved the hot sauce as well! Good service and delicious super burrito and shrimp cocktail! Highly recommended! ”
